Orange Roll may not be the most obvious dessert when we think of Portugal, but it’s usually with it that we end the dinner parties we organise at Martas´s. It easily unanimous, everyone loves it. It’s sweet and simple, just how life should be, and how we certainly want the time spent with us to be. What do you say about using about 30 minutes of your day having fun in the kitchen and preparing a delicious surprise for the family?
Ingredients:
– 7 eggs
– 250 gr of sugar
– 2 tablespoons of flour without yeast
– 1 small spoon of yeast
– 2 tablespoons of butter
– 2 oranges
– Baking paper
Preparation:
Add all the dry ingredients, mix them with the previously heated butter and after well beaten, mix one egg at the time. Add the juice and zest of the oranges. Line a rectangular baking pan with parchment (baking) paper, grease the paper with butter and fill with the batter. Place in a preheated oven at 200ºC and bake for a maximum of 20 minutes. Sprinkle sugar on a cloth and place the baked roll on it, the cloth will help to wrap the roll.
